Your journey starts with a warm welcome at Kilimanjaro International Airport. From there, we’ll drive you to the charming Lindrin Lodge in Moshi, where you can unwind and refresh after your long trip. Take this time to relax and soak in the tranquil atmosphere as you prepare for the exciting days ahead.
In the evening, your lead guide will meet with you for a detailed briefing, outlining the adventure to come and answering any questions you might have. Afterward, it’s time to enjoy a restful night’s sleep, as an early start awaits you in the morning.

Your adventure starts early today with a drive from Moshi, located south of Mount Kilimanjaro, to Rongai Gate at 1,950 meters (6,398 feet) on the northern side of the mountain. Upon arrival, the team will complete registration, and the equipment will be unpacked, marking the official start of your climb!
The trail leads you through a lush rainforest, offering vibrant greenery and the chance to spot wildlife, before reaching Simba Camp at 2,830 meters (9,285 feet) above sea level. The hike takes approximately four hours and is a scenic, gentle introduction to the journey, designed to ease you into the adventure ahead.

Today’s climb takes you above the forest, unveiling spectacular panoramic views of the surrounding landscapes. As you ascend, keep an eye out for large game such as elephants and giraffes roaming the plains far below—a truly remarkable sight.
The hike to Second Cave, situated at 3,450 meters (11,300 feet) above sea level, takes about three to four hours. Along the way, you’ll traverse the enchanting moorland, a landscape dotted with unique and beautiful vegetation. Many trekkers find this section of the trail to be a highlight of their Kilimanjaro adventure.

Today’s trek takes you further up the mountain with a climb of around three to four hours, leading to Kikelelwa Cave at 3,600 m (11,811 ft) above sea level. The journey offers stunning views of the moorland landscape, with Kibo and Mawenzi Peaks often visible on either side, creating a breathtaking panorama.
As you progress, you’ll truly feel immersed in the heart of your adventure. The effects of high altitude may start to become noticeable, but with a steady pace and proper acclimatization, your body is likely to adapt well, ensuring a safe and enjoyable climb.

Today’s trek takes approximately four hours as you climb to Mawenzi Tarn Hut, situated at an altitude of 4,315 m (14,160 ft) above sea level. Along the way, you gain over 700 meters in elevation, marking a significant step in your journey.
As you enter the alpine desert zone, the landscape transforms into a stark, barren environment where vegetation is scarce. From your campsite, you’ll enjoy an incredible, up-close view of the imposing Mawenzi Peak, creating a truly memorable backdrop for the evening.

Today’s hike is a long but rewarding journey, taking approximately five to six hours to reach Kibo Hut, situated at an altitude of 4,750 m (15,600 ft) above sea level. The route crosses a vast, flat expanse known as “the Saddle,” a striking alpine desert that connects the towering Kibo and Mawenzi Peaks.
As you traverse this unique landscape, keep an eye out for eagles and other birds gracefully soaring overhead. The high altitude will undoubtedly test your endurance, so staying focused and maintaining a steady pace is essential. Remember, every step brings you closer to your goal.

The big day is here! Starting at midnight, you embark on the final ascent to the summit. This is the most challenging part of your trek, requiring determination and perseverance, but your dedicated team is with you every step of the way. After about eight hours of climbing, you’ll reach Stella Point just in time to witness a breathtaking sunrise that will fuel your spirit.
From Stella Point, it’s a one-hour push to Uhuru Peak, standing at 5,895 m (19,341 ft)—the highest point in Africa! Take in the incredible achievement and the awe-inspiring views before beginning your descent. The journey back takes around eight hours, leading you to Horombo Hut at 3,720 m (12,205 ft) for a well-deserved rest. This unforgettable day marks the pinnacle of your adventure.

Today marks the end of your incredible Kilimanjaro adventure as you descend to Marangu Gate, located at 1,843 m (6,046 ft). This final leg is a long but manageable hike, taking about five to seven hours, with the trail gently sloping downhill.
Before departing, enjoy a lively tipping ceremony with your guides and porters, celebrating your achievement. You’ll also receive your well-earned climb certificates to commemorate your journey. Afterward, it’s time to head to the lodge, where hot showers and refreshing drinks await, offering the perfect way to relax and reflect on your amazing accomplishment.

This morning, you wake up with the incredible feeling of having accomplished something extraordinary! After enjoying a hearty breakfast at the lodge, we’ll drive you to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your homeward journey.
